Freelance web content project for Great Plains IDeA–Clinical and Translational Research Award (June 2017)
We asked Jenn to help us draft and edit content for a large-scale, multi-institutional website for the Great Plains NIH-funded Institutional Development Award. We requested her services under very tight time constraints. She was able to work independently to conduct the appropriate research, planning, writing, and email correspondence with faculty and staff. She met the deadline, went above and beyond our requests, and we were pleased by her creative contributions.

American Food Quest website and video content
I had the pleasure of working with Jenn on our start-up company/project, American Food Quest. This was a reality show project that needed help writing on-camera script content, show descriptions, and promotional materials. Jenn covered all of that and more. She wrote a majority of our website and social media content and worked independently with little direction. All we had to do was to tell Jenn what we needed, and she was off and running. I would highly recommend Jenn as a writer and doer-of-whatever-is-necessary to get the job done. Highly capable, very creative, and a great all around person to work with.

I worked with Jennifer at the Institute for Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Iowa where she served as the department’s primary editor in a high-profile, high-stress environment. She supplied content for the department’s website and was able to work within tight deadlines and without supervision. Jenn is a very organized individual and a pleasure to work with. She is able to interface with those who are technical, as well as those who are non-technical.
I worked personally with Jenn on a special project to redesign the department’s website. She functioned as the Project Manager, deciphering and translating complex requirements from upper management into discrete tasks to be executed. Requests to edit my technical content were received courteously without complaint, performed professionally, and implemented flawlessly. She never changed the original intent of the content, and worked hard to improve the readability, understandability, grammar, and the general appeal of the article.
